Our story
15+ years insulating Simcoe County
Barrie Insulation Systems has been insulating homes, cottages and commercial buildings across Barrie and Simcoe County for more than 15 years.
Who we are
We started with a simple idea that has not changed: insulation is not a commodity you buy by the bag, it is a system that either works as a whole or does not work at all. A house does not get warmer because there is more material in the attic. It gets warmer when the air stops moving through the envelope, when the right product goes in the right assembly, and when the details around the edges are done properly.
That is why we install four different systems instead of one. Spray foam, BIBS blown-in, batt and vacuum removal each solve a different problem, and most houses need more than one of them. A contractor who only sells one product will find a way to recommend it everywhere.
Fifteen years in one region also means we have seen how buildings here actually fail: the rim joists nobody sealed, the bathroom fan venting into the attic, the cathedral ceiling that could never fit enough batt, the drill-and-fill that made an old house liveable again. That experience is most of what you are paying for.
