Lots laboratory tested
Cannabinoids are lipophilic — they associate with fats rather than water. Cocoa butter is a fat, which makes it a natural medium to carry them. Working the extract into the cocoa butter itself, rather than adding it to finished chocolate, is what allows even distribution at low doses.
A cannabinoid extract added to finished chocolate can appear mixed while remaining unevenly distributed at a smaller scale — and a moulding cavity is a small scale. Incorporating the extract into the fat phase gives the active ingredient a medium it genuinely disperses into rather than one it is merely suspended in. It adds a manufacturing step in order to remove a source of variability, which is usually a good trade.
Low-dose formats are harder to manufacture than high-dose ones. Manufacturing tolerance is proportional, not absolute: an error that is invisible on a 10 mg unit is ten times as significant on a 1 mg one. Precision at 1 mg is a deliberate technical choice, not a limitation.

THC and CBD are the two most familiar cannabinoids, but they are not the only ones. CBG, used across MICRO ZEST and carried to 20 mg a piece in ZERO ZEST, brings its own solubility and stability characteristics. Every additional cannabinoid in a formulation is another set of variables to solve for and verify.
Everything above describes a fat phase. XTRACT, under our Infyn Extracts brand, has no fat phase at all: it is a standardised uncoated oral tablet carrying 9.5 mg of THC, with no dropper, no measuring step and no hardware. A compressed solid cannot rely on dispersion into cocoa butter, so uniformity has to be won in the blend and in the compression instead. Different carrier, same question: will tablet one thousand carry what tablet one carried?
