Precision dose, by design

Responsible consumption philosophy

Precision-dose cannabis formats designed for responsible consumption. This is a design philosophy, and it decides what we are willing to make.

Low dose is the product decision

Our Micro line is formulated at 1 mg of THC per piece. Our Zero line carries none at all. Those are low doses by design. A measured, predictable piece gives an adult control over what they are doing, which is the entire point of a precision format.

Regulation decides what a package may hold. The format decides how finely that is divided, and a consistent 1 mg unit is the harder manufacturing problem.

What the regulation sets, and what we set

Health Canada caps a package of edible cannabis at 10 mg of THC. That is the regulation. What we decide is how finely that is divided, and how low we are willing to go. Our Zero line carries no THC at all. Our Micro line divides the package cap into ten pieces of 1 mg each, and a consistent 1 mg increment is the hardest of these to manufacture, which is why we built it first.

Where the rest of the range sits

Byte divides the same 10 mg package cap into two pieces of 5 mg. Xtract is a tablet rather than an edible and falls under a different part of the regulations, at 9.5 mg per tablet. In every case the package tells you the total and the piece tells you the increment, and those two figures are the whole of what we ask anyone to understand.

Measured formats

Each piece is individually portioned, whether that is ten moulded pieces in a Micro pack, twenty in a Zero pack, two bonbons in a Byte, or fifty compressed tablets in a jar of Xtract. Consistency between pieces is what makes a dose meaningful: a declared figure is only useful if the next piece matches the last one.

Information first; promotion never. We describe what is in the product and how it was verified, and stop there.

Education, not encouragement

Our public material explains how these formats are made and what the figures on a package mean. It does not encourage consumption, make claims about effects, or suggest occasions for use. That line is drawn deliberately and we do not go near it.

For adults only

This site is restricted to adults of legal age. Our products are sold only through authorized retailers, and nothing we produce is designed to appeal to anyone under the legal age.

Questions

Common questions

Why make a 1 mg format instead of a stronger one?

Because a measured, predictable piece gives an adult control over what they are doing, and because a consistent 1 mg increment is the hardest of our formats to manufacture. We built it first for that reason.

What is the Zero line?

Products carrying no THC at all. ZERO ZEST holds 20 mg of CBG per piece and 400 mg across the package, with 0 mg of THC. It exists because some consumers do not want less THC — they want none.

Is 10 mg per package a legal limit?

Yes. Health Canada caps a package of edible cannabis at 10 mg of THC. What a manufacturer decides is how finely that is divided: ten pieces of 1 mg in Micro, two pieces of 5 mg in Byte.

Why does this site not describe how the products make you feel?

Because a licensed producer in Canada may not characterise effects, and because we do not think it is our place to. We describe what is in a product and how it was verified, and stop there.
